Some of the colorful creatures slid off the ice and headed into a nearby snow bank. Children young and old chased after them before they were lost in the powdery white stuff....

Sometimes they're invisible, other times they jump right out in front of you! Always drive slowly and be alert for these wonderful creatures in Highland State Recreation Area.

Preparations are underway for the Chief Pontiac Trail scouts Snow Snake races to be held next Saturday, December 18th.

Highland State Recreation Area is a wonderful place for winter activities. Snow shoeing, skiing, hiking, and more.

The registration renewal for our family vehicle just came in the mail the other day, and sure enough, there's a simple little check box that will confirm our desire to purchase the passport for just $10.00 per vehicle until the next registration of that same car next year.
