Saturday December 8, 2018. Drop in anytime between 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm. Event is free.

Snacks and Ornament Making - Warm yourself by the fireplace with Edsel and Eleanor! Sip Hot Cocoa/Cider with Cookies.

Christmas Activities - Victorian Christmas Activities! Make Origami Ornaments and Garland to take home. Assist the Friends of Highland Recreation Area (FOHRA) with decorating our tree. Impromptu Carol Singing!

Evening Stroll - Stroll around the Gate House area and enjoy an evening at the park! Please bring a flashlight.

The Friends of Highland Recreation Area (FOHRA) volunteer organization was established in 2007, and is a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt non-profit organization operating under lease agreement with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Within one of the most picturesque, fascinating, and historically significant state parks in southeast lower Michigan, our goal is to combine the former Haven Hill estate history with Highland Recreation Area’s existing amenities, wilderness, and recreation.
