Enjoy Spring During the Redbud Reveal at Highland Rec Area This Saturday!

“Redbud Reveal” is a day of outdoor enjoyment in the Haven Hill section of Highland State Recreation Area in White Lake, Michigan. Visitors are encouraged to get outdoors and enjoy the beautiful and historic Haven Hill section of the Park which includes the Cedar Creek trail, Edsel and Eleanor Ford’s former Haven Hill Gatehouse, Edsel Ford Barn, the picturesque Carriage House, and the Haven Hill Lodge footprint high up on Haven Hill.

This year’s Reveal will also include a special fundraising close-out sale of Antiques and Collectibles at the Edsel Ford Barn.

Come on out and join area residents to see if the beautiful redbuds are in bloom at Haven Hill this Saturday!

Friends Group President Mr. Dick Russell will give a season-opening speech at the Haven Hill Gatehouse at 1:00 pm for everyone to enjoy. The speech will also recognize new installations in the commemorative brick circle on the grounds of the Gatehouse.

The 2022 Reveal will be held from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 7. Highland State Recreation Area, 5200 Highland Road, White Lake, MI.

The Friends of Highland Recreation Area will sponsor the “Redbud Reveal” as a season-opening event to celebrate the arrival of the 2022 spring and summer season. Bring the family and enjoy your local State Park.

Enter the Recreation Area at 5200 Highland Road (M-59), White Lake, Michigan. The entrance to the park is on the south side of the highway. The Michigan DNR requires a Recreation Passport on your license plate for state park entry. A Recreation Passport can be purchased at the Park’s entrance station.
